acci\u00f3n colectiva es un tipo de procedimiento legal en el que un grupo numeroso de personas (la \u00abclase\u00bb) interpone una demanda contra otra parte (el \u00abdemandado\u00bb) en nombre de todos los miembros de la clase. En esta audiencia, el tribunal considerar\u00e1 si el caso debe proceder como una demanda colectiva. Si el tribunal determina que el caso cumple con ciertos requisitos legales, proceder\u00e1 a \u2018certificar\u2019 la clase y permitir\u00e1 que la demanda contin\u00fae.<\/p>\n<p>Una vez que se certifica una clase, el demandante o los demandantes principales ser\u00e1n responsables de representar los intereses de toda la clase. El demandante o los demandantes principales trabajar\u00e1n con su abogado para desarrollar un \u00abplan de acci\u00f3n colectiva\u00bb que delinee la estrategia legal para el caso. Estas mociones solicitar\u00e1n al tribunal que se pronuncie sobre diversas cuestiones legales en el caso. Las partes comparecer\u00e1n entonces para un \u00abjuicio\u00bb o \u00abaudiencia probatoria\u00bb, momento en el cual presentar\u00e1n sus pruebas y argumentos ante el tribunal.
