MSD Lawyers, LLP seeks to recognize and reward law students as they pursue their legal careers through higher education. Our firm is committed to supporting the next generation of professionals through our scholarship program in order to encourage students to fully engage in their studies and strive for personal growth and success, despite the financial investment.

One deserving MSD Scholarship Award recipient will receive $1,000 toward their law school tuition.

The scholarship will be awarded to a currently enrolled law school student who meets the following criteria:

  • Student must be enrolled in law school for the 2024-25 school year
  • Student must be a US citizen or permanent resident
  • Student must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher

Application requirements:

  • Students must submit a 500-750-word essay on the topic: “Should there be limits on confidentiality placed on sexual harassment victims in negotiated settlement agreements?”
  • Students must send proof of enrollment in law school program (i.e., transcript)

Judging and recognition procedure:

  • Judging will be completed by a panel of MSD Lawyers attorneys.
  • Judging will be based upon the applicant’s fulfillment of criteria and ability to convey their opinions on the essay topic in a thoughtful, discerning, and clear manner with supporting evidence and analysis.

Awards and recognition procedure:

  • The MSD Scholarship Award is a one-time, monetary scholarship award and is to be used for law school tuition only.
  • Once winner has been selected, the award will be given to the winner’s school to be used toward tuition and school expenses.
  • If winner is unable to attend law school for any reason, they must provide documentation why they are unable to attend, and the award may be held for up to 1 year until winner is able to provide proof of enrollment.
  • If a recipient is unable to claim their award within 1 year, MSD Lawyers may award it to another candidate at its discretion.
  • Candidates who are offered a scholarship must agree to the award’s terms and conditions in order to receive the scholarship.
  • Applicants will receive an email verifying that they have been selected to receive this award.
  • Winner will be announced on MSD Lawyers’ social media accounts and/or website.
