Attorney Arash Sadat Speaks to KNX Radio on Sexual Harassment Lawsuit Against California State University

When institutional failures jeopardize student safety, the legal demand for accountability becomes critical. Recently, MSD Lawyers founding partner Arash Sadat appeared on KNX Radio to discuss a sexual harassment and assault lawsuit filed against California State University.

The lawsuit, officially filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, names the Trustees of the California State University, Carlos Moore, and head women’s track coach Lekeisha Moore as defendants. It centers on serious allegations brought by three female track athletes at Cal State University, Dominguez Hills, who are identified in court documents as Jane Doe Nos. 1, 2, and 3. The plaintiffs allege that between late 2025 and May 2026, Carlos Moore groomed them, touched them without their consent, and secretly filmed athletes’ bodies during practice.

Attorney Arash Sadat Speaks to KNX Radio

Speaking with KNX reporter Pete Demetriou, Attorney Sadat detailed how the university hired Lekeisha Moore and permitted her husband access to the women’s track team, despite a documented history of sexual misconduct accusations. As the lawsuit notes, Carlos Moore previously faced similar accusations from female athletes at Mt. San Antonio College in 2012.

The complaint asserts that despite receiving at least nine complaints about his behavior, the university allowed Carlos Moore to remain around the athletes at practices and competitions. According to the KNX broadcast, when the women reported the conduct, university officials allegedly told them to “avoid” Carlos Moore or “stay out of his way”.

“The university had every warning it needed about this man, and it still let him near young women it was responsible for protecting,” Attorney Sadat stated regarding the case. Attorney Ruchika Diaz of MSD Lawyers echoed this sentiment, pointing out that the athletes reported the issues repeatedly, but the system ultimately protected Carlos and Lekeisha Moore instead of the students.

Legal Representation

The plaintiffs are represented by attorneys Arash Sadat, Camron Dowlatshahi, and Ruchika Diaz of Mills Sadat Dowlat LLP. Following the KNX report, CSU Dominguez Hills declined to comment on the matter, noting they had not yet reviewed the suit.
